Judith A. Mattea brings decades of advanced specialties in nursing and psychiatric health experience to Tampa Bay Center for Psychological Health.  As an educator and clinical specialist, Judith has enjoyed teaching at universities, working in medical facilities, and compassionately providing one-on-one therapy for patients during her career.

Board-certified in mental health, Judith currently focuses much of her work in the area of psychiatry. She holds the credential of Adult Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist (PMHCNS-BC) from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and American Board for Specialty Nursing Certification.

Judith graduated from Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing in Allentown, PA, in 1972. She went on to become an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), completing graduate-level educational programs and earning certifications and experience as a Clinical Specialist.

Judith’s career has spanned areas of hospice, home healthcare, faculty positions, and solo practice. Prior to moving to Florida, Judith practiced in Providence, RI, where she taught Nursing at the University of Rhode Island and rounded in teaching hospitals with Brown University Associates.  In addition, she has published and presented topics of interest in Gerontology and Psychiatry at major nursing meetings. Residing in Land O’Lakes, she has been a reputable member of the Tampa Bay medical community for over 25 years.
